webMethods Developer and Administrator

Main Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for webMethods 7.x/8.x server administration and support for development and maintenance of webMethods integration projects. 
  • Experience with web services development and orchestration/integration using webMethods Flow language
  • Support analysis, development and maintenance of electronic data exchange (EDI), XML, flat file integrations
  • Perform webMethods server upgrade, apply patches, fixes, etc. when required.       
  • Configure webMethods broker server, My webMethods Server, Optimize, reverse Gateway, large document handling.
  • Support error handling for globally integrated systems.
  • Support webMethods program testing and bug fixing.
  • Develop and or update webMethods system and procedural documentation
  • Competent to work on fairly complex systems analysis and programming assignments independently
  • Expected to work indepepndently with end-users and business partners to understand requirements and design & estimate solutions
  • Expected to represent the team at cross project technical meetings

Required Experience

  • 5 years experience in IT
  • 3-5 years of development experience using webMethods
  • 3-5 Years of hands-on development in Java/J2EE
  • 3-5 Years development experience in SQL/PLSQL. Expertise in handling all core SQL functions is a must
  • 3-5 years of webMethods Server Administration in Production environments      
  • Experience on open security standards
  • Experience on webMethods JDBC adapters, web services, developer
  • Web development experience (HTML, Javascripts, JSP, Servlets, etc) & webMethods DSP
  • Development experience with Production Support and Server Administrations
  • Good verbal and written communication & status reporting skills
  • Ability to deliver on commitments

Preferred Experience

  • A candidate with the functional and technical knowledge of EDI
  • webMethods Certified Developer

Clearance Required

  • US Citizenship Required, Active Secret Clearance Required

Mid-level Systems Engineer 

Overview

AINS has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer.  The ideal candidate will possess mid-level skills and be a US Citizen with an Active secret clearance. The primary work location is at the client site in Washington D.C. and occasional onsite work at the client site in Crystal City (Arlington), VA.

Candidates should be hands-on in all aspects Systems Engineering. Candidates must have the ability and interest to work on a range of different types of projects and business processes.

Position Description

  • Participating in status meetings,
  • Designs and implements system/application/network interoperability tests and evaluations,
  • Develops documentation and provides recommendations for software applications, operating systems, and hardware components
  • Improves the operability of networking environment by establishing standard desktop hardware/software configurations,
  • Provides senior level technical support to the agency in testing and evaluating network/system application packages, and recommending secure server and desktop configurations,
  • Additional responsibilities include customizing and repackaging MSI installation packages, maintaining, configuring, and securing Lab equipment to ensure integrity of test scenarios,
  • Interacting with the client to clarify analyze, assess requirements,
  • Systems and requirements analysis,
  •  Manages, schedules, supports, and operates the ILAB
  • Maintains the lab (software and hardware) for interoperability testing of software applications the agency’s standard suite of software
  • Configures and maintains workstations and servers
  • Works with Windows and Unix Operating Systems and with Oracle and SQL sever databases
  • Supports software engineering teams and end users to test on workstations and servers
  • Designs and applies standard and ad-hoc tests to ensure compatibility with the environment
  •  Provides written test reports and recommendations to the Change Control Board (CCB) on test requested by the CCB or system owners
  • Supports the Software Packaging contractor to ensure full functionality before distribution
  • Prepares weekly and monthly status reports detailing ILAB usage showing: users, applications tested, approved change requests tested, schedules, inventory changes, issues, and recommendations
  • Prepares test results for each test, i.e. applications and components tested, tests conducted, results, fixes, and recommendations
  •  Maintains an inventory list of all hardware and software in the LAB and its purpose

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience with desktop operating systems including Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
  • 3-5 years’ experience with server operating systems including Windows 2000, Window 2003, Windows 2008, Unix, Linux
  • 3-5 years’ experience with TCP/IP
  • 3-5 years’ experience with VMWare
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Databases includes Oracle 91, Oracle 10g, Oracle 11g, SQL Server, MYSql
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Microsoft SMS
  • Strong knowledge and experience in SQL, PL/SQL and deployment on Oracle Application Server and JBOSS/Tomcat application server
  • Excellent analytical and assessment skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well in in team

Other preferred skills:

  • Fluency in XML, JBOSS
  • Front End programming in AJAX, JS, HTML
  • Database application development

The primary work location is the client site in Crystal City (Arlington), VA.

Candidates should be hands-on in all aspects of Records Management lifecycle. Candidates must have experience in the implementation of a Records Management program using the Autonomy Records Management tool.

The candidate will support the AINS product development team at AINS HQ in Gaithersburg, MD.  This is an opportunity to use the latest Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint 2010, InfoPath, .NET 3.5 and 4.0, WF, and WCF in a fast-paced, demanding and inspiring environment.  The successful candidate will be great developer that gets things done. 

Requirements:
  • Results oriented with very strong coding skills
  • Candidate must have both technology expertise and a passion to build commercial software
  • Must be willing and able to collaborate on a project
  • 2-5 years of deep .NET experience and Microsoft software development stack with proven track record delivering projects and products.
  • 3+ years of enterprise web application development in .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.0, C#, ASP.NET, WCF, XML, Linq and SQL Server.
  • 2+ years of SharePoint development including Web Parts, Object Model, Web Services, custom applications, and Feature Framework. 
  • SharePoint 2010 knowledge strongly preffered.
  • Enterprise Content Management experience a plus – OpenText, Documentum, etc.
  • Experience with Agile and test driven development methodologies.
