Senior ServiceNow Developer


 
Task Description: 
 
Senior ServiceNow Developer is responsible for lead development of various components for the new USSS Events Planning and Execution (EPE) application and supporting a new system built on custom COTS (ServiceNow) platform. Duties may include performing installation, configuration and hardening of the on-Prem ServiceNow a PaaS platform and configure key application services including, notifications, queues, scheduled tasks and more.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Overall responsibility to customize, configure and custom develop software in an agile fashion using the prescribed agile practices following the government specified sprint and release cadences.
  • The senior developer will work to provide the USSS a situational web application for both event planning and event execution functions that enables unified logistics planning, provisioning, scheduling and cost tracking actions and mobility surrounding protective, investigative, training or administrative events.
  • Designs, develops, enhances, debugs and implements software.
  • Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
  • Researches, tests, builds and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
  • Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Evaluates effectiveness. Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms.
  • Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
  • Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Acts as team leader on projects. Instructs, assigns, directs and checks the work of others on the development team. Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports

  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.

FOIA Analyst (Active DoD Secret Clearance)


 
Essential Job Functions: 
  • Perform data base entry, maintenance and basic administrative functions such as document scanning, conduct research related to the FOIA, organize electronic records, create labelled case folder and maintain network folders
  • Enter requests, responsive records and supporting documents into the FOIA database and tracking system
  • Maintain a log to track requests for responsive records and send reminders to program staff when response is not provided within the designated timeframe
  • Identify information owners, collaborate with internal and external offices, and refine requests in a manner that will fulfill the requestor’s intended purpose 
  • Access, input, search, manipulate, retrieve, and output data and information using the internet, email, computer database software, computer operating systems and software applications
  • Prepare summaries and indices of redactions and withholdings, provide accurate page-counts and collation of paper files and draft transmittal correspondence under supervision of team leader as needed
  • Use automated tool to manage and report on cases to leadership of the FOIA office
  • Research problems and review issues related to FOIA requests, clarify issues and evaluated the need for additional information
  • Identify and apply appropriate FOIA exemptions for non-releasable information
  • Reviews outgoing FOIA responses to ensure proper coordination and compliance with FOIA regulations
  • Initiates personal contact with requesters for clarification of request as required and discuss availability of documents, as appropriate

Responsibilities 
  • Support proposal response efforts from beginning to end
  • Assist with meeting proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining proposal schedules; multiple proposals may be worked on in parallel. Assist in the proposal kickoff meeting; ensures that the proposal outline and schedule are distributed and tasks are assigned to appropriate employees with specified timeframes. Support Pink, Red, Gold, and White Glove meetings as required.
  • Assists with or leads capture of concepts and technical solutions in accurate and compelling prose and graphics
  • Coordinates editing, composition, production, and delivery in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, and other requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in proposal writing
  • Demonstrated success writing persuasive, winning proposals in highly competitive environment.
  • Experience leading all stages of proposal process including Kickoff, Pink, Red, Gold, and White Glove meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; strong self-motivation. Takes ownership of proposal process and quality of proposal product.
  • Must exercise judgment on a regular basis with minimal oversight, while following established procedures.
  • Demonstrated success managing and working with Subject Matter Experts in collecting then portraying technical information accurately and persuasively
  • Strong critical thinking ability
  • Understands complex concepts and able to articulate client needs to the proposal team
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an ability to grasp and communicate technical concepts
  • Excellent skill in Microsoft Word and other MS products.
  • Able to multitask, coordinate multiple proposals, and meet short timelines/deadlines
