Privacy Analyst

Position Summary:
AINS is seeking a talented, experienced, and highly motivated Federal Privacy Analyst. The new hire will join a team of other Analysts focused on Federal Privacy compliance within a federal agency.  The Privacy Analyst shall oversee all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation and maintenance of Federal Privacy compliance within a federal agency.   


  • 3+ years in a documented Privacy role
  • 3+ years working with Federal Agency Privacy Act requirements and compliance
  • CIPP Certification preferred

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Provide a gap analysis of current tools and processes required to perform e-Discovery service and to support the digital forensic program.
  • Make recommendations on the improvement and enhancement of the E-Discovery/forensic programs
  • Perform e-Discovery service and support cyber investigations on varies types of USG digital media and cloud vendors.

  • Education:
    • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cyber Forensic Professional (CCFP) certification

Technical Writer

Technical Writer

Technical writers take complex information and communicate it clearly, concisely and accurately without relying on technical or corporate jargon to explain what they're trying to say. As an integral member of the training team, this individual will partner with other departments such as development, marketing, sales, and support to understand and respond to customer documentation needs.  Under minimal supervision, the Technical Writer will author and revise software documentation including, but not limited to, user manuals, training material, installation guides, release notes, and other forms of technical and non-technical documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Technical Writing, Journalism or an English related discipline
  • 1-3 years of proven working experience writing technical documentation for software systems or IT project teams
  • Write, edit, proof, format and maintain end-user documentation in a variety of tools and formats, including, but not limited to, online help, user guides, knowledge-base/troubleshooting articles, quick reference guides, and training material
  • Develop and revise documents that meet the needs of the document audience (e.g., clients, internal team members, partners, etc.)
  • Maintain a Style Guide and ensure consistent use across all platforms

Job Description


Position Title: Proposal Writer

Department: Global Sales & Marketing

Reports To:  Senior Proposal Manager

Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland



  •  Leads proposal response efforts from beginning to end 
  • Assist with meeting proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
  • Develops and maintains proposal schedules; multiple proposals may be worked on in parallel. Leads the proposal kickoff meeting; ensures that the proposal outline and schedule are distributed and tasks are assigned to appropriate employees with specified timeframes. Leads Pink, Red, Gold, and White Glove meetings as required.
  • Assists with or leads capture of concepts and technical solutions in accurate and compelling prose and graphics 
  • Coordinates editing, composition, production, and delivery in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, and other requirements 

Desired Skills and Experience


  • 2-4 years’ experience in proposal writing 
  • Demonstrated success writing persuasive, winning proposals in highly competitive environment.
  • Experience leading all stages of proposal process including Kickoff, Pink, Red, Gold, and White Glove meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; strong self-motivation. Takes ownership of proposal process and quality of proposal product.
  • Must exercise judgment on a regular basis with minimal oversight, while following established procedures.
  • Demonstrated success managing and working with Subject Matter Experts in collecting then portraying technical information accurately and persuasively
  • Strong critical thinking ability
  • Understands complex concepts and able to articulate client needs to the proposal team 
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 
  • Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an ability to grasp and communicate technical concepts 
  • Excellent skill in Microsoft Word and other MS products. 
  • Able to multitask, coordinate multiple proposals, and meet short timelines/deadlines
  • Formal proposal training preferred


Undergraduate or Graduate degree in field related to Information Technology and/or Writing
