Sr. Software Engineer

Overview

AINS has an immediate opening for an experienced Java/J2EE software developer.  The ideal candidate will possess senior-level skills and be a US Citizen with an Active secret clearance. The primary work location is at AINS HQ in Gaithersburg, MD and occasional onsite work at the client site in Crystal City (Arlington), VA. 

Candidates should be hands-on in all aspects software development lifecycle. Candidates must have the ability and interest to work on a range of different types of projects and business processes. 

Duties Include:
  • Participating in design/architectural discussions
  • Participating in status meetings
  • Producing clear and maintainable code
  • Completing development tasks
  • Interacting with the client to clarify analyze, assess requirements
  • Systems and requirements analysis-
Requirements:
  • Experience using object-oriented programming languages and concepts (5+ years).
  • Fluency in Java/J2EE, JSP, EJB, Web Services Development using SOAP, SOA, ESB, Eclipse, Spring, Seam, and Struts.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in SQL, PL/SQL and deployment on Oracle Application Server and JBOSS/Tomcat application server.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Java/J2EE, JSP, Web Services development.
  • Strong knowledge in Oracle database and SQL, PL/SQL development.
  • Deployment and troubleshooting of web applications in Tomcat, JBoss application servers.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of web development skills HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS and AJAX.
  • Experience with Drools engine
  • Excellent analytical and assessment skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team.
  • Exposure to Agile approaches to software development and UML.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
Other preferred skills:
  • Fluency in XML, JBOSS.
  • Front End programming in AJAX, JS, HTML.
  • Database application development.
  • Struts, Hibernate and Seam frameworks.
  • SOA and Rules engine. 
  • JSF Frameworks.
Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Science or Math preferred).
  • MS in Computer Science preferred.
