AINS, Inc., a leading IT solutions and products firm, announced today that it has been awarded a new 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) having a ceiling value of $900M. USAID, through its Information Technology Strategic Plan (ITSP) FY 2011-2015, is re-imaging the role that Information Technology (IT) plays in supporting the Agency‘s mission. This plan anticipates and enables the emergence of the “development entrepreneur” and facilitates the objectives of the Agency’s USAID FORWARD initiative. Moreover, it reinforces the approach of bringing forth a more dynamic, collaborative, and innovative model for delivering international aid. The focus of IT FORWARD is system modernization and operational excellence, while supporting the unique opportunities and objectives of the USAID Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).
